The signatures of the region of the northwest of Murcia go for the first time to the American reference Fair in Las Vegas, after growing the number of exporting companies 34% in the last year.
The Northwest Footwear industry treads firmly on foreign markets. The number of exporting companies in the sector in the region, mainly located in this area, has increased by 34.44% in the last year, from 90 to 121 in the comparison of the first quarter of this year with respect to the previous one. The community, through the Institute of Development (INFO), activated a year ago a specific plan for this sector, the program ‘ Murcia Calzado ‘, which puts special emphasis on enhancing the innovation and internationalization of the companies that integrate it.

In the first quarter of 2017, sales in the international markets already reach 47,890,000 euros.
